Welcome to the dark skies of West Eyreton, North Canterbury.
We have really good dark skies, not many houses and only three lamp posts near by (one about 300m away and the other two about 2.5 km away).
I would love to build an observatory, so that I didn’t have to assemble and disassemble my telescopes each time I want to go seeing, but I have other “gardening” projects to finish before thinking too much about this.
My astrophotography is very much a young thing, just had a few attempts with my Nikon DSLRs and mainly on my 10 inch “GoTo” Dob, so times are limited and one-shot images are best due to image rotation. Have done some 10, 20, & 30 sec multi-exposure stacked images using 10mm, 35mm and 105mm lens.
